Challenge Cup - Footgolf Winners
The third event of the DASLS challenge cup took place on Thursday 13 July at Bovey Tracey Golf Centre.
Six teams were presented with not golf clubs and golf balls as you would normally expect at a golf centre, but footballs and giant holes. The game was footgolf and the rules are simple - the least kicks taken to place the football in the hole was the winner. The teams had to encounter hills, "the rough", a ravine, and a pond to name a few. Luckily I only know of one football which had to be rescued from the water.
The amotsphere was competitive which brought for a fun evening but although the final scores were close the winners were Trowers. A big thank you to all who took part. The next event of the challenge cup is five a side football in September; click here for details.
