Due to a pending retirement, we are seeking a residential property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with at least 5 years PQE, to work as part of our strong team in our Bridgwater office. You will need experience of managing your own caseload to include new builds, freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, from instruction through to completion. Agricultural experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Key skills required are familiarity with CQS accreditation and procedures, the ability to handle a full and varied caseload, excellent communication, client care and organisational skills, as well as a friendly and approachable personality to satisfy the needs of our longstanding clients and referrers.

We are looking for someone with a solid knowledge of the residential conveyancing process, including Land Registry procedures and CQS protocol requirements. We will expect you to be comfortable working within a team and independently.
You will be a competent audio typist, experienced in using Microsoft Outlook, Word and the HM Land Registry portal. You will be confident taking initial enquiries from clients and assisting with urgent matters under pressure. Experience of the DPS case management system, Lender Exchange and LMS portals will be an advantage although full training will be given.
This position is a full time role working predominantly for one fee earner and assisting the other conveyancing assistants and occasionally reception as required, particularly during holidays and other staff absences.
We also have a vacancy for a conveyancing assistant to assist our conveyancing team in Kingsbridge on a short term contract, either remotely from Barnstaple or in our Kingsbridge office.
