NOTICE TO ALL PRACTITIONERS REGARDING TIME ESTIMATES
Dear All
On behalf of HHJ Robertshaw please see below a new protocol for applications made to the court.
As a result of an increase in insufficient time estimates being given by parties, practitioners are requested to note that:
1. Proper time estimates must be given. These must not be reduced in order to get an early hearing in the hope or expectation that the court will allow a longer time on the day, sit early, into the lunch period or sit late
2. All applications or requests for a hearing MUST include a time estimate. A hearing will not be listed without this. If a case exceeds, or is likely to exceed, its given time estimate, it will be vacated without being heard or will be adjourned after the time requested has expired.
3. Save in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Judge, the court will not sit before 10 am, between 1pm and 2pm or after 4.30pm (4pm for District Judges)
Kind Regards
